Fsc Foundation single crochet

Beg-tr Worked by stacking three sc on top of each other at the beginning of a row:

Sc into first st of row, work next sc by inserting hk into vertical bar of sc just made, work final sc the same way. <counts as 1 tr>

Cloud Worked by joining three puffs together (6-lp, 9-lp, 3-lp) in the same sp:

[Yo, insert hk, yo, draw up a lp] 6 times (13 lps on hk), yo, draw through 12 lps (2 lps on hk), work inside [ ] 9 times (20 lps on hk), yo, draw through 18 lps (3 lps on hk), work inside [ ] 3 times (9 lps on hk), yo, draw through 6 lps (4 lps on hk), yo, draw through all lps. <counts as 1 cloud>

Fsc Worked to form a stretchy bottom on the panels:

Ch 2, insert hk into first ch, yo, pull up a lp, [yo, pull through one lp (this creates the ch), yo, pull through both lps on hk (this creates the sc)], insert hk into created ch, work inside [ ], rep from as many times needed for st count.

Note: For a more elastic edge, I recommend working through only one loop of the created chain.

Notes

IMPORTANT! Definitely don’t skip these.

  • Stitch counts are only given at ends of decrease and establishment rows/rounds and will be inside <>.

  • Ch-1 turning chains on rows beginning with single crochets do not count as stitches.

  • All sts worked in the next ch-7 sp unless otherwise stated.

  • Always skip ch-3 sps at the beginning and end of rows.

  • The tank is constructed as follows:

    • Front and back panels are made separately then seamed along sides and shoulders.

    • Instructions for both panels are identical except the “Shoulder Straps” section.

    • Optional borders are worked around the neck and armhole openings.

  • Because we all have varying body shapes, you can find a section at the end called “Customization Tips” that explains ways to adjust certain parts of the tank top to help you achieve your desired fit.
