My Favorite Things

If you've seen any of my pattern pictures or YouTube videos, you've probably seen some of the yarn, hooks, and notions in my stash. If you're interested in any of the items, check out the descriptions below where I share information and links to where you can get your own!

*Many of the links are affiliate links, which means if you click it and make a purchase, I do get a small commission at no extra cost to you. It's a great way to support my small business. While I do earn the commission, I want to assure you that all opinions about the products are my own, and I would never provide a link to something I would not be 100% prepared to stand behind.

Furls is a popular brand of ergonomic crochet hooks. They use various materials - wood, resin, metal - to create their beautiful hooks. Because most of them are handmade, each hook will be unique, offering a one-of-a-kind experience; plus, they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee! I love working with the Furls company, and they love providing the best hooks they can.

My personal favorites have been my Streamline Ebony (wood), Streamline Jupiter (resin), and Odyssey Turquoise (metal)*.

*Unfortunately, they have discontinued the Odyssey line, but they are working on a new design. They also offer the Streamline Metal as an alternative if you want a metal crochet hook.

Leither Co. is a small business run by Ashley and her husband. I met the couple at the CGOA Chainlink Conference in 2022, and I fell in love with their handmade hooks. Ashley was even kind enough to work with me on creating a custom set using light wood and a blue-green resin, which is the set you see most often in my videos. My favorite thing about them is that they use Clover hook tips, so you get the best of both a wooden handle and a precise metal hook. I particularly enjoy my really small ones (2.25mm & 2.75mm) since I use a lot of fingering weight yarn in my patterns.

If there's someone to thank for starting my journey to crochet design, it's Tammy, the hand-dyer behind A Chick That Knitz. There's not enough room to share all the ways she's helped me, but suffice it to say that I love working with her and her beautiful yarn. She uses some of the best fibers and really knows her craft. Her colors are eye-catching, and her mind is always whirling with new ideas. Many of my patterns feature her yarns, and she's been so generous to offer a special coupon code that provides anybody who buys one of my patterns to get 25% off any ACTK online order. I have especially loved working with her Silky Singles, a blend of 70% superwash Merino and 30% mulberry silk - it's just heaven running over my fingers when I crochet with it!
